• Baseline speed test – before connecting to SwitchVPN we tested our Internet speed and found it to be 43.33 Mbps download and 1.61 Mbps upstream. Connecting from the US – east coast.
• SwitchVPN speed test – after connecting to the Chicago PPTP VPN server we tested our Internet speed again and found it to be 11.42 Mbps download and 1.43 Mbps upstream.
• Conclusion – SwitchVPN performance was ok. We’ve seen faster but we’ve also seen far worse. Note: you can expect any VPN to slow your connection some as the traffic is being encrypted.
